2022 RBC Heritage sold out, strong field headed to Harbour Town

Perhaps the best field in any recent RBC Heritage not held in the bizarro year of 2020 will be en route to Hilton Head Island soon, and if you’re planning on seeing the 54th annual Heritage in person at Harbour Town Golf Links, you better have tickets already.

The Heritage Classic Foundation announced Saturday that the tournament is officially sold out despite a return to “full capacity” this year, though tournament director Steve Wilmot noted on LowcoGolf.com’s “Quick 9” that full capacity in 2022 does not mean what it did in 2019.

“One of the things people have to understand, on Saturday in 2019, if you were there, it wasn't necessarily a good thing,” Wilmot said. “We couldn't have gotten another body out there. So from what we've gone through the last couple years, we're looking at an enhanced experience for our spectators. Our full build out will happen, but we're limiting ticket sales a little bit to the square full capacity to be kind of 80% of where we were in 2019.”

If you do have tickets, be advised that all ticketing for the 2022 RBC Heritage is mobile. There are 10 ticket scanning areas around Harbour Town Golf Links and at Honey Horn’s general spectator parking. Ticket holders are urged to save tickets to their phone’s mobile wallet for easy access. Once a ticket has been scanned, the spectator will be given a paper ticket to wear for the day.

If you didn’t score tickets, don’t despair. You can still catch the parade from the Harbour Town Yacht Basin to the iconic 18th green just before noon Tuesday and take in the Opening Ceremony, in which defending champion Stewart Cink, a three-time Heritage winner, will hit the ceremonial opening tee shot into Calibogue Sound.

You’lll also be able to catch the action on PGA Tour Live and Golf Channel throughout the tournament and on CBS on Saturday and Sunday. The full broadcast schedule is below.
